Holiday Gifts – Day 7
Over the past several days I have shared with you
some healthy living gift ideas for the holidays!
Today and tomorrow I have some final ideas.
I’ll try to keep the posts brief because we all need more simplicity at this time of year,
so if you have additional questions, be sure to ask. I’m happy to answer!
As you’ve seen so far, there is a theme to the type of gifts I love to GIVE and RECEIVE! They are practical, functional, and/or consumable in some way. Today I just want to share with you a few KITCHEN ITEMS that I absolutely love and wouldn’t want to go without! You can click on the any of the images below to be taken to the items on Amazon and learn more.
I’ve shared with you before that I LOVE my pressure cooker! I use it weekly for sure, and often several times a week. I currently have the one linked below. However, when it’s time to replace it, I’m definitely purchasing the Instant Pot, which is a multi-function tool. It’s a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, and more! I don’t know anyone who values their time and healthy meals who wouldn’t be happy with either of these items!
Another item I use in my kitchen almost daily is my food processor. This thing gets a major workout! I honestly don’t know how I got by without this item in my past. It’s WELL WORTH the INVESTMENT! I’ve had mine for over 5 years now!
If you know anyone who makes smoothies on the regular, they need a Vitamix. I have never seen anything blend something more beautifully than the Vitamix! Ever tried to make anything smooth in a cheap blender? If so, I know you’re making a face right now! It just doesn’t cut it! Seriously – nothing compares to the power and efficiency of a Vitamix! Great for smoothies, soups, nut butters, making flour, etc. It also has an unbeatable warranty!
My immersion blender is another tool that gets used almost daily, and often more than once a day! So great for for making frothy warm beverages without dirtying something larger (we hand-wash everything in our house so I’m always considering the easiest tool to clean). It’s amazing for making homemade dressings and mayonnaise. If you’ve never tried making your own, now is the time, especially if you’re conscious about using healthy oils!! I even use it to make pureed soups….all the time!!!
Lastly, the spiral slicer, or zoodler as we call it, makes a great gift! I’ve gifted it several times. This tool takes a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and turns them into noodles (3 blades for 3 different noodle shapes). Zucchini is a popular veggie to use with this item, thus the name zoodler. However, it’s also great for things like butternut squash, beets, sweet potato, apples, carrots, celeriac, parsnips, daikon radish, jicama, and so much more!
So, there you have it: my favorite kitchen tools!!
I hope you find these suggestions helpful for gift-buying,
and don’t be surprised if you find yourself purchasing another gift
for Santa to put under the tree for YOU too!
